February Ambassador of the Month: Alison Fountain

by Kelly Vance on February 05, 2017

It's always incredible when ambassadors open up and share their stories to help others on our crew, and Oregon ambassador Alison Fountain is no exception.  She recently shared her story in an effort to help others learn to move past personal loss, and the incredible strength it took to endure tragedy and still put herself out there and try to live life to the fullest inspired all of us.

Congratulations to our February 2017 Ambassador of the Month, Alison Fountain!

Christele Rodas had this to say:

I'd like to nominate Alison Fountain for sharing her story, she is strong, amazing, and inspired so many of us by sharing her story.

This month's decision was a super difficult one, with tons of other amazing nominations to select from for ladies that represent our core values of cool, compassionate and kind.  Read some of our favorites:

Stacy Pokrywka for ambassador of the month. I had the good luck to get Stacy as a shred pal and have really enjoyed getting to know her. Her personality totally reflects sheshreds.co's core values and she is kind, enthusiastic and encouraging to all the other Ambassadors. She is also really humble about her own abilities, when in fact she totally SHREDS!

I would like to nominate Katie Purdy for Ambassador of the month. She posts awesome high quality shots on her social media, has been sporting our gear like a champ and is just an all around nice girl! She encourages other people to try new things and pushes herself to do the same. She deserves it!

I would like to nominate Ashlyn Overland for ambassador of the month for Feb. she has been such a wonderful inspiration to myself and to Elliot. We love watching her compete and grow in her sport at such a young age. It is also very inspiring to see her continue to go on so fearlessly and courageously after the loss of her brother. I am sure he is with her every step of the way and keeping her safe but I can't imagine the pain she has to lose someone so close to her. The strength she has to over come such tragedy is incredible. I know she has a bright future ahead of her and can't wait to see her in the xgames, even the olympics!!  She is a wonderful role model for young and old athletes alike.

I think Courtney Bamford should be the ambassador of the month! Simply because she has been working hard to get back on her sled to ride after breaking her ankle, she got recently engaged so that’s super exciting and she’s is an amazing person, she is always there when I need her and we pick each other up when we are having down days and we do all this with 3 provinces between us!

My monthly ambassador nomination is ambassador Sienna Brewer. Sienna is such a rad girl. She and I have been keeping in touch lately and I have sent her one of my old wet suits and some She Shreds gear that has grown to small for me, and now she is  sending me a cake for that. Sienna is such a thoughtful and caring young lady. She is such an inspiring and positive person the be around. When I meet her at INT regionals she had only been riding for about a year and was already competing in a regional competition. That is astonishing to me.
