Alberta SUP Meetup with ambassadors Laura and Kira Holm

Recently Bronze Ambassador Laura Holm held a Stand Up Paddle Board meetup in Alberta where the weather can be a bit testy this time of year. Fortunately, Canadians are notoriously tough and she had 10 ladies brave the weather that was windy at first but then mother nature decided to play nice and they had a stellar day.

"At one point we all sat on our boards and joked and laughed together."

With few beginners in the group and they were scared of falling but she turned a negative into a positive by offering first person to fall in to be awarded with a toque (hat.) Needless to say, it was given away and the first words out of her mouth was 'I won'.
"It was so much fun.  The ladies love the new colors of stickers and I hope to see more Sheshreds gear on the water this year."
Laura is planning to have a few more meetups so be sure to stay tuned to the events page to participate in the next one!

Ambassador of the Month McKenna Kameka
Ambassador of the Month McKenna Kameka

This month, we decided to put a little twist on our ambassador of the month nominations, and honor our new ambassadors who have impressed from the start.  Although McKenna has only been an ambassador for a few months, she dove right into the program and has made lots of new friends, impressed us with her progression, and done everything we've asked of her, including working for us as an intern!  We're so thrilled to have her in the program, and she definitely shows us all that even someone who is new to the program can make a huge difference!
