Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by the current coronavirus situation.
Whether you're stuck at home, out on the front lines as a first responder, or know someone personally who is ill, many of us are feeling the impacts in our day-to-day lives. Our ambassadors wanted to share some ideas for staying active and positive, from free at home workouts via Facebook Live to ideas for getting in a little outdoor time while maintaining social distancing.
Ambassador Tarin O'Donnell is taking her fitness company online with a commitment to creating challenging workouts that use minimal equipment and can be done at home. After going live, her workouts post to her Facebook Page, TKO Fitness in case you miss one or want to repeat one you loved!
You may need to head into the backcountry to get your snowboarding and skiing in, so be sure you're brushed up on Avalanche Safety. Or you can keep it mellow and take it to a local sledding hill and practice your snurfing like Colorado ambassadors Maria Brunori and Adele Zeh.
With local ski resorts and schools closed, Oregon ambassador Mia Brown is setting bike goals for the summer. Head to an uncrowded trail, pump track, or back road to get some exercise without risking exposure. Stay safe mountain biking with a helmet, gloves and more.
Czech ambassador Valerie Kindlová has been using yoga and practice and longboarding to maintain balance, while her country is under lockdown. Quiet back roads and empty parking lots can be a great place to practice your longboard tricks while staying safe.
