What does SheShredsCo mean to you?
SheShreds is so much more then “Just Another Brand” its a lifestyle that encourages everyday women in their sports. It also means family to me, because growing up I didn’t have a typical teenage experience & the ladies in this crew have been such an amazing addition to my small support system, each in their own way. They are all amazing and they are always super welcoming to new ladies in the crew as well as there for one another through thick or thin.
How did you get hooked on your favourite action sport(s)?
Growing up in the bush, I have always been hooked on quads and riding, and loved always being outdoors but it wasn’t until the age of 18 that I got my first dirt bike. I fell in love and I haven’t looked back since, and having married a retired racer just makes my passion that much stronger.
What challenges do you face being a female in the sport?
Being a female in the motocross industry is a challenge all on its own, but always having to hear that girls shouldn’t be allowed on a bike or that I wont be able to do my own mechanic work or that I just plain don’t belong just makes me want to push harder. I can show them that I do belong and that I can do it and that even though I am a girl, I can ride with the guys!
Where is the most unusual or exciting place you have done your sport?
The most unusual or exciting place that I have gotten to do my sport is where my grandparents live there is a trail that leads to a few abandoned sand pits that me and my friend will haul a ramp out to and we will spend the day riding and playing in the sand we built our selfs a practice track that we use.
What has been your most memorable moment so far?
My most memorable moment so far would have to be buying my 2006 YZ250F and the first ride I had on it with no falls and hitting a few small jumps! Just being able to make that big of a jump on bike sizes (CR230F trial bike to YZ250F competition bike) is my most memorable moment so far because I know I will have many more in the future!
Who/what are your inspirations
My inspirations are definitely my hubby and friends and family for the support and time they have given me in training me on my bikes and driving me around to buy my bikes as well as the pro-riders that I have looked up to since before I got on my first bike like Ken Roczen, Ryan Dungey and Vicky Golden.
Favourite thing about SheShreds products?
My favourite thing about the SheShreds products would be the fact that the ambassadors get to help with a few of the product designs! I also love how each and every product is stylish and unique. I look forward to every new item that comes out. The Brand logo isn’t always the same on every piece of clothing which is also awesome & I would have to say my favourite thing that we always seem to come back with is the Tech sweaters!
