Your Age: 26. I didn't get into boardsports until age 20, so I think I can help influence some more mature women who might be intimidated to start a new sport.

Your Location (where do you ride mostly): Lake Harmony, PA

Weapon(s) of choice: Wakeboard, Snowboard, WakeSurf, Yoga Mat, Surfboard, Earth.

What’s an average day for you like? My husband and I run a small hotel located right on Lake Harmony. We also run a watersports program in the summer. We are so blessed to be able to create our own schedule, so we always make time to get outside and active. Our days vary with every season here in the north east.

What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? The easiest? The most difficult part is allowing yourself to be humble and understand that there is a learning curve and it takes time. The easiest? Enjoying the awesome friends you're going to make!

What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport? The best is being able to unite and push other women. The worst is that women do not get the respect they deserve. The Wakeboard pro tour has been on and off with not including the womens division, shame on them!!

What would you like to see change in your sport to make it better for you and other female athletes? More female CEO's in the watersports industry. The athletes are for sure doing there part pushing the limits!

Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style? Luckily I do not have a 9-5 job so I am able to wear what I think is appropriate. I do tons of outdoor work, gardening, and pushing boats out so I usually go for "cute but casual".

What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? I love Hurley & Liquid Force board shorts. Glyder makes the best yoga pants, ever! You can't beat Burton & 686 products for the winter. I am super stoked to purchase some SheShreds apparel as I'm positive they are great quality and I know they're super cute!

Let’s hear your thoughts on how important looking good is to feeling good. “Being” your personal best? I think looking good is a reflection of how you feel. I think people look the best when you can see their inner light shine through. The glow in your face when you stomp a new trick?? Nothing tops that look!

How dangerous do you really think it is compared to what people do in their regular activities? I think it can be extremely dangerous, one bad crash can ruin everything. With that being said, you can get hurt in a car crash, or even just walking across the street. You just have to live, push yourself, and enjoy every second.

I bet in your experience you have seen some crazy crashes. Describe one. I have seen hundreds of epic crashes. This winter, going up the chairlift we saw 3 little shredders absolute huck a huge jump at Big Boulder Park. They went single file, all out of control going up the jump and all three landed right on their faces and slid down on their tummies. Luckily, they were all wearing helmets and young so no injuries, but it was hilarious.

What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport? The STOKE.

What is your favorite trick? Off axis 360, or a back 1.

Do you own any other toys? My husband and I just purchased a new Axis A20, Black & Purple. #thepurps should be delivered May 1. Also Paddleboard is a summer toy I play with a lot.

What gets you pumped up for the day? Depends on the day, today we're in Florida so I am stoked to go ride with Jeff Langley and my husband.

What are three things you could not live without? Hrm... let me get back to you on that.

What are your expectations for this activity/sport? To continue to push and grow the sport and to make it more accessible for everyone to try.

Who have been your biggest supporters in getting you to where you are now? My husband for sure, he really got me into the boardsports and has been super supportive in my progression. My parents, who raised me as an athlete and my father for his determination and work ethic. Females who inspire me the most have been Tara Mikacich, Raqeul Hoffman, Jamie Anderson, Amelia Travis, and Grace Van Berkum.

Who’s your favorite rider/shooter (photo/video)? Can't just pick one!

What do you do in your spare time when you’re not riding/shooting/competing? Run and operate our hotel & watersports business. Garden, yoga, and cook. I make everything homemade.

How about in the off season to stay in shape? I do not really have an off season, just different sports. I always practice yoga, mountain bike (even in the winter), run, and I try to do 2 weight work outs a week.

What do you do to prep for a competition? Practice, breathe, and believe in myself.

What competitions and other awards have you won? Include your non sports accomplishments also. I was the female rider for Chico State Wakeboard Team for 2011-2012 seasons. Both years we won nationals for both collegiate series, Alt Games & Empire Wake. I won most improved rider in 2010 & Most valuable female rider in 2011 & 2012. Now, We are so busy on weekends we do not compete in the local competitions like I wish we could. Riding is all about the freedom of the sport today.

What’s your favorite “way” to ride? Wakeboard - Boat for sure. Surf- Both waves & boat. Snowboard- park & trees (only in the pow).

Favorite conditions? Wakeboard/suf- 85 sunny and no wind. Ocean surf- 85 no wind and 5 ft. waves . Sea Turtles are a plus Snow- If we're on the east coast I like first tracks down the park. West Coast I would be most excited for anything more than 6 inches.

Where would be your biggest dream place to ride and why? I really want to make a trip to Australia during our winter months and their summer. So many shredders live in Australia and I think it would be awesome to check out.

What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone? Depends on the mood, day, & sport.

What turned you on to your sport? I joined the Chico State Wakeboard team for fun my sophomore year of college. I met some of my best friends, my husband, and fell in love with the boardsports community.

Any new tricks you’re working on? Always!! For wakeboarding I am working on mexi back roll, scarecrow, and heelside back 1. For snowboarding I am working on the park. Nothing in particular just expanding my horizon.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your sport? Winning Collegiate nationals was an awesome feeling.

If extreme/action sports didn’t exist, what would you be doing with all the free time you’d have? Trying to create them!

What’s your favorite board/bike/sled to ride and why? CWB wakeboard with Ronix binding has been my go to. GNU snowboard with 72 boots & Burton bindings.

What’s the trick to riding features and not killing yourself? Do not try to correct when on the feature. Just let it flow and hop off the side if you're in danger.

How would you describe your riding style? Sometimes I charge it and others I am more laid back. Depends on the body & mindset.

What would you say is your signature trick? Front side melon 180

Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding/shooting? Water, passion tea, matcha tea, coffee, or corona.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Besides a professional wakeboarder?? My goal is to continue to grow our business and add more retreats. I am getting yoga certified so we can offer watersports/yoga retreats in Lake Harmony. I want to inspire young women to be entrepreneurs and not let any one else determine your destiny. It's empowering to be in control and the most difficult job in the world!
