What does SheShredsCo mean to you?
SheShreds means that there is always someone there to help you support you in your sport. There are so many girls of all ages ready to help you improve or to help you learn new things or sports. It is amazing to have a group of girls totally on your side.
I feel supported and encouraged to try a new or different sport that I never thought I could do before. I like how we can redefine what it means to do the sport 'like a girl'.
I love to see girls supporting girls to be their best and becoming great friends in the process.
What challenges do you face being a female in the sport?
Well, one of the challenges is having the boys believe that you cannot do everything that they can. This discourages girls from trying out and competing in the races and events.
It is important for us girls to be in events and races as when other girls see us compete they know that we can do what the boys doing.
Where is the most unusual place you have done your sport?
Not unusual place but a usual time of the year. Pyramid Lake in Jasper Alberta in early November. My feet were cold! It was also cool as my stand up paddle board was cutting through the soft ice just forming on the lake and the snow was falling on my board. Such a unique experience.
What has been your most memorable moment so far?
My most memorable moment in Stand Up Paddle boarding was when I took second place at The Easy Rider 9th annual SUP Cup. It was a hard race for me but I am glad that I did it! I thought I was never going to do and once I finished it I was so happy but so tired. Winning second place was awesome so is the trophy.
My most memorable moment when I was snowboarding was when I was a little girl and I was snowboarding with my dad. I was trying to learn a new skill and I said I couldn't do it, I was so discouraged and I thought I would fail. My dad encouraged, supported me and helped me to look beyond my own fears. I am so thankful for his support and encouragement.

The person who inspires me daily my mom.
Favorite thing about SheShreds products?
I love the products as they encourage and inspire women through the awesome quotes. You can tell that there is love put into creating products that look and fit well while being encouraging.
