What’s an average day for you like? I love to wake up early and I am super happy! I have a super active family so if I don’t have school then we are hitting the lake, the slopes or going on an adventure!
What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? The easiest? The most difficult is finding the right board that fits your style. The easiest is the falls don’t hurt because you are falling in the water.
What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport? The best thing is it is unexpected. When I tell my friends what my sports are they think that is so cool! There aren’t that many younger girls in my area that do water sports.
What would you like to see change in your sport to make it better for you and other female athletes? In certain divisions skim and surf have to compete against each other.
Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style? I’m energetic and beachy.
What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? I can’t wait to get my SheShreds gear! Hollister, Abercrombie and Roxy are what you can find me in most of the time.
Let’s hear your thoughts on how important looking good is to feeling good. “Being” your personal best? When you look good it gives you more confidence. It feels good to do my personal best….but it also feels good to look good. Its all about having fun though!
How dangerous do you really think it is compared to what people do in their regular activities? A lot of people get badly hurt in the sports I do. I think there are some sports that are more dangerous but I feel like board sports are near the top of the scale.
I bet in your experience you have seen some crazy crashes. Describe one. I was out riding and was learning a new trick; when I feel my fin gashed open my head and blood was gushing down my face. I wanted to keep going but my mom made me get in the boat.
What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport? The first time they stand up on the board the smile never leaves their face, they are usually hooked from that moment.
What is your favorite trick? A Body Varial.
Do you own any other toys? An indo board, trampoline, stand up paddle boards and a pool.
What gets you pumped up for the day? When I see the water is glassy.
What are three things you could not live without? God, my family (including my animals) and my Zombie surfboard!
What are your expectations for this activity/sport? Progressing, I just want to keep learning new things.
Who have been your biggest supporters in getting you to where you are now? My family, sponsors and my wakesurf friends that live in Phoenix.
Who’s your favorite rider/shooter (photo/video)? My favorite female rider is Angie Viland, she makes everything look so easy. Chris Wolter is my favorite male rider. He never stops working to being the best, and he encourages and believes in me. My favorite photographer is Brandon Hesterman! He is amazing!
What do you do in your spare time when you’re not riding/shooting/competing? I love school and I study a lot. I want to do well so I can get a scholarship to Yale. I love to read and do anything outside.
How about in the off season to stay in shape? I use my indo board and wetsuit up and hit the lake.
What is your biggest goal to accomplish this/next season? My Alley Oop!
What do you do to prep for a competition? I pray and give my board a little pep talk.
What competitions and other awards have you won? Include your non sports accomplishments also.

What’s your favorite “way” to ride( wake sport- specific, cable, boat, winch)(Snowsport specific- park, freeride/backcountry, urban)? Boat for sure!
Favorite conditions? Glassy water!
Where would be your biggest dream place to ride and why? Worlds! Because that would be a big accomplishment.
What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone? Yeah, Sweet Dreams, Clumsy and tons more! I like the older stuff.
What turned you on to your sport? My sister and the love of the water.
Any new tricks you’re working on? 360, Ally Oop
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your sport? Teach orphan kids at Wake the World how to wakesurf and wakeboard.
What other extreme/action sports are you into? Anything with a board.
If extreme/action sports didn’t exist, what would you be doing with all the free time you’d have? Swimming and reading.
What’s your favorite board/bike/sled to ride and why? Zombie Surf Company Hybrid surf style, because it can take you from a beginner to pro all on the same board by just changing your fins around.
What’s the trick to riding features and not killing yourself? You can’t give up on yourself. You have to get up and stay positive no matter how many times you fall.
How would you describe your riding style? Energetic. Its my favorite place to be so I hope that really shows through in my riding.
What would you say is your signature trick? The body varial.
Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding/shooting?Coconut juice, it is delicious.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A Geneticist.
