What does SheShredsCo mean to you?
I found SheShredsCo almost a year ago, and it has made me a much more confident rider and brought so much more happiness into action sports for me. SheShredsCo was the first all female company invested in action sports I had ever seen. Not only does SheShreds create appropriate gear for girls in action sports (which isn’t easy to come across), they support a huge number of girls and constantly work towards pushing the limits, proving their love for the sport. Being an ambassador is a connection to girls all over the world with similar passions, it’s a family that is there to support and inspire you. The SheShreds team has given me the ability to plan events to meet and inspire girls in my area, and has given me the confidence to compete for the first time in my sport.
What drives you to do your sport?
I started snowboarding while I was in high school and really just needed something to call my own. It's been a source or exercise, happiness and empowerment for me ever since. Snowboarding has proved to me that I can do anything I put my mind to, I'll set goals and then stop at nothing until I've reached them. My boyfriend and I spend a huge chunk of our winters snowboarding together and he's been my biggest support. He's always there to cheer me on, to challenge me and to build the fire inside me that pushes me to be a better rider. The team of ambassadors for SheShreds has also been a huge inspiration for me this past winter. Finally having a group of girls cheering me on and challenging each other gave me an even stronger desire to push my own limits.
