What’s an average day for you like? I work.. a lot! I always make time to work out during the week to strengthen my muscles to either surf, wake, or snowboard on the weekends depending on what season we are in.

What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? Difficult: Balance and using muscles you have never used before. It feels awkward, but strength training or weight lifting helps this process to be a lot easier for sure. The easiest part I would say is that if you are so stoked to learn something new, you will give your best to make it be a part of your life and happiness in general.

What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport? Best: You get to meet a cool clique of other females in the sport and make friendships while riding together. You are constantly pushing each other to learn some new awesomeness. Worst: Close minded folks think you are a little nuts, which is lame. Enjoy your life and be proud of what you do. Other folks opinions don't matter.

What would you like to see change in your sport to make it better for you and other female athletes? Destroy the stereotypes of making extreme sports chicks look like supermodels. Every extreme sports girl is awesome in every single way.

Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style? Funky, unique, sporty, throw some swag in there too.

What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? Roxy, DC, Proteus, Elevated, Volcom, Hurley, and many others.

I bet in your experience you have seen some crazy crashes. Describe one. Haha I've had some of my own. Surfboard nose tip went in my head right above my eyebrow and eyebrow area. Thank goodness there is plastic surgery. Surfboard fun stabbed my right leg, got infected, was not fun with emergency surgery.

What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport? Constant stoke and want to constantly learn new things. Boosts confidence.

What is your favorite trick? Surf: cutbacks and fun snaps with some spray.
Snow: Methods,180s, BS board slides with 180s out.
Wake: any grabs with shiftys, especially stalefish.

Do you own any other toys? Guitars. Music is magical.

How about in the off season to stay in shape? Work out, MMA, use seasonal board sports :)

What is your biggest goal to accomplish this/next season? Improve my style and learn to perfect 360s in both wake and snow.

What do you do to prep for a competition?

What competitions and other awards have you won? 2012: 2nd place Bangers and Mash rail jam: snowboard in North Carolina.

What’s your favorite “way” to ride? Wake: cable.
Snow: back country, park, heli.
Surf: love reef breaks, used to surfing beach breaks.

Where would be your biggest dream place to ride and why? Definitely want to ride in Japan, they get tons of pow!
Papua New Guinea for surfing, untouched paradise and sick waves.
Switzerland for wakeboarding, I have some friends that live there that keep telling me to visit and ride boat with them.

What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone? I have a good mix of songs on my iPod. Anything hard rock, rap, or EDM is definitely on my riding playlist.

What turned you on to your sport? Just always seemed so rad, cool, and different. Always wanted to set myself apart from the group and enjoy a special passion such as extreme board sports.

Any new tricks you’re working on? 360s on wakeboard right now.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your sport? Got to travel the world. It's pretty amazing riding in different places on this planet and meeting some rad people too!

What other extreme/action sports are you into? Skateboarding, indoor rock climbing, Muay Thai boxing.

If extreme/action sports didn’t exist, what would you be doing with all the free time you’d have? Probably playing soccer like I did in high school.

What’s the trick to riding features and not killing yourself? Approach the obstacle with confidence. It's all mental.

How would you describe your riding style? Aggressive.

Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding? Any light beer or glass of red wine.

Any of your own web pages or social media buttons you want links to? Instagram @Heatherdee1080
