What does SheShredsCo mean to you?
SheShreds means that I have over 500 sisters who are going through the same thing I am. They can either provide me advice because they have been there before, or perhaps I can offer some of my knowledge. I love having a supporting family backing and supporting me. I am able to watch several different people compete and throw down and they inspire me to be a better athlete.
What challenges do you face being a female in the sport?
The biggest challenge I am facing at this time is that there are no local opportunities to advance. We have no snowboard camps, no bike tracks, no large mountains. When we participated in a rail jam, my mother and I were the only female competitors. I don't feel I have all the same advantages as some people might at other locations. I am young and have several years to get better and gain more skill. I am hoping that with my ambassador-ship with SheShreds I am able to get the word out and work to get more females involved (to have competition, and make myself better).
Where is the most unusual place you have done your sport?
We have strapped on my board in the back yard and practiced doing jumps and spins on a balance beam. :)
What has been your most memorable moment so far?
My most memorable moment was when we were able to travel to Utah and spend an epic week snowboarding! Without SheShreds this would not have been possible. We stayed with two different SheShreds women (even boss lady) and this helped us to be able to travel with less costs. With the help of other SheShreds ladies we were able to shred at different mountains for major discounts! The family we have with SheShreds is amazing and this trip showed me that.
Who/what are your inspirations
At this point I am inspired by my mom who allowed me to and taught me how to snowboard. I am also inspired daily by all of the other SheShreds ladies. It makes me want to try new sports and find funding to make more opportunities for myself and other local girls in our area.
Favorite thing about SheShreds products?
The hats! The socks! The bracelets! The shirts! The coats! The quality of the products! The speed with which they are shipped out! Everything!!!
