What does SheShredsCo mean to you?
SheShreds is a family, it's the most amazing feeling to know that at any time there's a group of girls that will always have your back and support you through anything you're going through, as well as celebrate your victories and goal accomplishments!
What challenges do you face being a female in the sport?
Being taken seriously is probably the biggest challenge, snowmobiling is still seen as a male sport, although there's been female progression, you still find a lot of derogatory comments on women's sled photos/videos, and I'm 100% for loving your body, but placing these bikini clad models who mostly don't know what snowmobiling is, makes it just as hard as a lady to be taken seriously on your sled, I really hope to help keep changing the views on women snowmobilers each season.
Where is the most unusual place you have done your sport?
Grass/mud, as you don't generally ride a snowmobile on grass, but I was helping with a derby and the weather turned so warm everything melted and to get back to my truck I had to ride through a lot of grass, mud and slush/puddles PRAYING my sled didn't overheat!
What has been your most memorable moment so far?
Most definitely my first ride after breaking my leg, i can't remember ever being so happy as that day! It made me realize just how much snowmobiling means to me and how it really can bring me out of a dark place as soon as I start my sled!
Who/what are your inspirations
Seeing people who love the sport genuinely and work their butts off to progress, it makes me want to keep progressing. As for pro female snowmobilers I love Nadine Overwater, Julie-Ann Chapman, Kaylie Dentman to name a few because they ride their butts off all year, and Nadine and Julie-Ann run lady ride clinics to help other women progress and meet their goals!
Favorite thing about SheShreds products?
The fit is always great! The logos and designs that have been coming out are some of my favourites, it's all very comfortable and can be worn layered or out for the day or night! I'm forever wearing something SheShreds because I can wear it with and to everything!
