Your Name (and Nickname): Cathryn Ann Siniscalchi, Cate, Cathy ;), Kit Cat

Your Age:18

Your Location (where do you ride mostly): Utah!

Weapon(s) of choice:  snowboard,  wakeboard, wakesurf, yoga, longboarding, ukulele.

What’s an average day for you like? Wake up, Smile, workout, smile, eat, smile, try to find some way to waste all the energy I have.

What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? The easiest? I think the hardest part for sure is getting up! once you're up you're golden! The easiest thing is to have fun! I've never been out on the water and been mad I just go out and have fun

What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport? The best thing is that not a lot of girl can do it so when you can people are always surprised, the worst for sure is that people don't take you seriously because you aren't a boy.

What would you like to see change in your sport to make it better for you and other female athletes? More competitions for females, they have the brostock tour but girls can't compete in that. We need a chickstock tour!

Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style? My style is super unique! I love to set trends not follow them! I am constantly bringing old things back!

What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? She Shreds, Vans, Billabong and Ronix

Let’s hear your thoughts on how important looking good is to feeling good. “Being” your personal best? If you look good you have confidence, and confidence is key! Whenever I put on something I really like it boosts my self esteem so fast!

How dangerous do u really think it is compared to what people do in their regular activities?  It's definitely  more dangerous than sitting on the couch, but is that living?

I bet in your experience you have seen some crazy crashes. Describe one.   I was working down at Bloc Wake park, and my friend Jacob was going for a Hoochie Glide, and he did a huge Raley and as he went for the grab he let go of the rope and ended up doing a Raley to front roll! Where I was sitting it looked like he for sure slammed his face on the shore! it turned out that he actually landed it and then slipped out but he was so close to the shore it was so sketchy!

What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport? I think just the positive atmosphere of it all! You always have a good time on the lake!

What is your favorite trick? I love watching people do Whirly 5's!

Do you own any other toys? Paddle board, trampoline, and I'm working on my dad to build a winch.

What gets you pumped up for the day?  A big huge bowl of Captain Crunch!

What are three things you could not live without?  My family, Wakeboarding, and food!! I love food!

What are your expectations for this activity/sport? I want it to keep growing and growing, there are still people who don't know what wakeboarding is and I want everyone to know what it is and how to do it!

Who have been your biggest supporters in getting you to where you are now? My Mama and Papa bear! They are the greatest!!!

Who’s your favorite rider/shooter (photo/video)? It's so hard to just pick one! some of my favorites are; Steel Lafferty, Shota Tezuka, Parks Bonifay, Danny Harf, Shaun Murray, JD Webb, Rusty Malinoski and I love Meagan Ethell!!

What do you do in your spare time when you’re not riding/shooting/competing?  Thinking about wakeboarding! Hang out with my friends, playing the uke and just have a good time.

How about in the off season to stay in shape? Well I am always wakeboarding or snowboarding, but  I exercise everyday, tie a rope on my tramp and throw tricks, and I am getting into gymnastics this fall!

What is your biggest goal to accomplish this/next season? My biggest goal is to be able to land an invert by the end of this season. For next season I want to enter more competitions and continue to progress

What do you do to prep for a competition?  I usually eat a donut? haha! I stay calm and just chill! if I start stressing then I do horrible in my set!

What competitions and other awards have you won? I got 3rd place at my very first competition, I got 4th at region in track for hurdling, and I've won some pie eating contests.

What’s your favorite “way” to ride: I really like boat and cable, but if I had to chose I think I would pick boat. Nothing beats boat vibes and just being out in nature! snowboarding it would be back country for sure!

Favorite conditions? Hot day, Glassy water like where you can see your reflection... ahhh I get chills just thinking about it!

Where would be your biggest dream place to ride and why? I'd love to be able to ride in my backyard! it's a bummer because boats aren't allowed on it but it is glassy all day long and it kills me not being able to shred on it!

What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone? The safety Dance by Men without hats,  Jackson 5, Shwayze, J Boog, Common Kings and Sugar Ray

What turned you on to your sport? My brother got me into it, but I watched Steel Lafferty's all in Redbull video and after I watched that I knew I would be wakeboarding the rest of my life.

Any new tricks you’re working on? I've been working on tantrums, a toe side back-flip, clearing the wake toe side

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your sport?  Power slides are pretty sick.

What other extreme/action sports are you into? Rock Climbing, snowboarding, and looking forward to more surfing

If extreme/action sports didn’t exist, what would you be doing with all the free time you’d have?  Honestly,  I don't know... I'm pretty darn creative and have lots of energy, i think I'd invent something!!

What’s your favorite board/bike/sled to ride and why? I'm riding the Ronix Quarter till midnight right now an I love it! I love the bright yellow, and it's the perfect board for cable and boat riding.

What’s the trick to riding features and not killing yourself? CONFIDENCE IS KEY! You have to believe you can do it to be able to do it!

How would you describe your riding style? My style is smooth, nice and easy. I get there by following the wise words of Rusty Malinoski "Work will win when wishing won't." I am constantly wanting to push myself.

What would you say is your signature trick? hmm... whenever I ride I always cut out really hard heel side and get a huge spray of my board and have my butt like right down by the water

Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding/shooting? Blue raspberry snow cone, not because I like blue raspberry, but because it turns my tongue blue

What do you want to be when you grow up? A Professional Wakeboarder.
