What’s an average day for you like? Toddler kisses, coffee, coffee, coffee, a little work, whatever adventure I can find, sleep...

What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? The easiest? The most difficult part for women in mountain biking is the intimidation factor. It's a largely complex and expensive sport lead predominately by men, and this can be such a deterrent to many women. I think joining a group of humble, technical lady riders is the way to get into the sport and come out with smiles.

I've been on skis since I was 2, and snowboarding for around 20 years, so it's difficult to me to relate as well to beginners; however, sticking with it, and making sure you have good gear will make the adventure a lot more fun and smooth!

What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport? The best part about being a female mountain biker and snowboarder is the ability to lead and inspire others. We're able to show them that it's possible to ride like the boys, and it's great!

Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style? Nerdy by day, Flannels and hoodies by night. But I can be inclined to clean up occasionally and throw on a cute dress.

What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? The brands that drive a lot of my performance (and I am not obligated to say this!) are Fly Racing, Smith Optics and helmets, Bell Helmets, and 5-10 shoes. When I'm not riding, I love a good pair of jeans, Vans, SheShreds, and Patagonia anything!

Let’s hear your thoughts on how important looking good is to feeling good. “Being” your personal best? I love this question because I frequently get comments on what I'm wearing primarily because it usually consists of pinks/purples and anything really girly. I know a lot of women prefer to look just like the boys and don't want special attention, but I love feeling feminine especially when I'm getting really dirty and rowdy. If I feel like I look good, I ride good!

How dangerous do you really think it is compared to what people do in their regular activities? I think mountain biking is inherently dangerous at any skill level. With appropriate protection, the risk decreases slightly, but we do this with a strong level of knowledge that our backs, necks, heads, collar bones, etc. are at risk.

What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport? In my experience with what I do, people get hooked based on the comradery and mental release of every day BS that comes with being on a bike and being outside.

What is your favorite trick? I love to throw a little whip in if I've got sufficient enough air.

Do you own any other toys? Everything available for children 0-4!

What gets you pumped up for the day? COFFEE!

What are three things you could not live without? My dropper seat post, Probar Chews, and Gortex.

What’s your favorite “way” to ride? I'm a DH girl through and through. In both MTB and snowboarding, I love, love, love anything technical or fast.

Favorite conditions? Post-rain, tacky MTB Trails. Pow days.

What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone? For snowboarding, I love listening to chick-rock or "man-hater" music as others may say. None for MTB.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your sport? Dropped some GIANT rocks on my bike. Spun a 540 on my board.

Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding/shooting? Can I say beer?

What do you want to be when you grow up? Humble.
