What does SheShredsCo mean to you?

It’s means so much to me! It represents love, encouragement, friendship, dedication and all around bad assery.  It means never shying away from the park because your a girl, it means always going above and beyond BECAUSE you’re a girl!

Having a brand that allows and encourages you to communicate, coach and be there for other females in action sports is something I’ve been waiting for since the first day I picked up a board.  And I’ll be damned, it’s here!

How did you get hooked on your favorite action sport(s)?
I was bored at home one day and my buddy asked if I want to hit the hill with him. I always went skiing but I was just getting so bored with it. He suggested I try snowboarding. My friend taught me a few things for 30 minutes on the bunny hill and said “alright. I’ll be back in an hour. If you can link turns, you can come up the chair lift. If not, I’ll meet you at the car at the end of the day”.  Needless to say, I linked my turns and the rest is history 

What challenges do you face being a female in the sport?

I think the biggest challenge used to be that you were one of the few girls around the mountain “trying to ride like a guy”. Now, there are so many amazing girls out there, it’s truly amazing to see. I think one of the biggest challenges now is knowing that you are a role model to people. It could be someone you’ve never met, or someone you’re super close to. We have made such a huge impact in action sports lately that we need to be aware of those around us and the affects our actions, words, posts on social media, etc can have on our younger generation. 


Where is the most unusual or exciting place you have done your sport?
I don’t think there’s such thing as an unusual place to shred anymore. People are ripping skate parks to school yards, it’s amazing.  The most exciting place would have to be anywhere in the back country. How can you not be excited surrounded by Mother Nature?

What has been your most memorable moment so far?
If you had of asked me this question a while ago I would have named any number of ticks I might’ve been working on. Now, it’s coaching. Watching someone I’ve helped reach their goal is more memorable than any trick I can ever remember landing. 

Who/what are your inspirations
All ladies of shred, beginner or expert, young or old.  The fact that you get out thet and do what you love everyday is the most inspiring thing in the world.....and of course the queen herself: Jamie Anderson. If I could have one hundredth of her talent along with her compassion and mindfulness, I would truly be winning At life! Ha!
