What does SheShredsCo mean to you?
SheShredsCo to me, means family. I don’t have your typical support team/ family & these ladies have more than filled that position. Each girl in the crew has something unique to offer & they are super supportive. I love each & every girl in the crew!
What drives you to do your sport?
People telling me that I can't race motocross or that a girl "doesn't belong on a dirtbike" pushes me every day to get stronger & faster on the bike to prove them all wrong!
How did you get hooked on your favorite action sport(s)?
I got hooked on motocross at the age of 4 or 5 when my dad signed me up for the Honda Junior Red Riders program. After out growing the 50cc they had provided me, we have continued to buy bigger & bigger bikes!
What challenges do you face being a female in the sport?
Earlier in my motocross racing career, I faced many challenges from being bullied for doing a male dominated sport to just nasty comments about females on the track. Now that I am older, those rare comments don’t bother me nearly as much. The only challenge I currently race within the sport is being a little too short for all of my bikes!
Where is the most unusual or exciting place you have done your sport?
I’d be lying if I didn’t say the most exciting place that I have raced was the 1st round of the Rockstar Energy Canadian Arenacross Tour in 2016. Racing motocross is already an adrenaline fuelled sport but once you line up on the gate for the night show, under the lights, in front of a massive crowd; now that’s exciting! I can’t wait for the 2018 AX Tour!
What has been your most memorable moment so far?
So far, my most memorable moment within the sport of motocross would be racing the 2016 AX Tour. I raced an entire gate full of men & managed to place 4th overall in the night show! Off of my bike, my most memorable sports moment would have to be placing 1st in Canada & Ontario for my wrestling weight class in 2010.
Who/what are your inspirations?
My inspiration Cole Thompson. Cole is a local Canadian Supercross & Motocross racer. I have grown up racing along side him & his family & I have first hand seen the hard work that he puts in daily to be at the top of his game. His family are all so supportive & act as a tight knit pit crew & I love that!
Favorite thing about SheShreds products?
My favourite thing about SheShreds products is the style! Every time I get an email with a new product I am So stoked. Every item is unique to the SheShreds crew & everything is so well made! I’m also obsessed with the brand logo & the entire black & latte line!
