What’s an average day for you like? There really are no average days for me. I'm pretty unpredictable.
Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style? My personal style really depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing. If I'm working out or doing yoga, I might wear funky shorts or funky leggings, but if I'm just going to the store I have no problem just wearing whatever I slept in.
What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? I think SheShreds is awesome! Not only for style purposes, but also to give girls in action sports confidence. I also like Hurley, Reef, Billabong, Roxy & Prana
Let’s hear your thoughts on how important looking good is to feeling good. “Being” your personal best? I think that looking good is to feeling good and feeling good is to looking good, to a certain extent. I think some girls put to much emphasis to how they look and bring themselves down if they don't live up to the expectations in their mind. Personally, no matter how you look you should carry yourself in a respectable way and have self confidence and doing that will help to achieve your goals.
How dangerous do u really think it is compared to what people do in their regular activities? Watersports and the sports that I'm into are not as dangerous as being a passenger in a car. I have never been injured wakeboarding or wakesurfing as bad as I was injured being a passenger in a car.
Do you own any other toys? I own a wakeboard, wakesurf board, kayak, yoga mat, bow and a golfcart that I somehow managed to flip.
What gets you pumped up for the day? Good music, warm weather, healthy food and a morning workout.
What are your expectations for this activity/sport? To do the absolute best that I can do.
Who have been your biggest supporters in getting you to where you are now? I wouldn't be here without the people at Advocate Christ Hospita and the paramedics from Bristol Kendall Fire Department. My family has helped me recover and supports me. Joe Montalto, Dunstin Fiepke and Doug Meeker are not only awesome at watersports, they are also awesome people. My neighbor, Tom Keller, has heped me greatly throughout my life and continues to do so. Jessica Hix, owner of Younique Health, helped me discover and come to love yoga. The trainers at Reckless CrossFit helped me gain strength and self confidence which will help me with riding and throughout life.
Who’s your favorite rider/shooter (photo/video)? I like Bob Soven's sense of humor, but I met Will Christien the day after I started wakeboarding and it really motivated me.
What do you do in your spare time when you’re not riding/shooting/competing? I practice yoga, teach yoga and do CrossFit.
How about in the off season to stay in shape? I eat consciously, practice yoga, do the Indo Board and do CrossFit.
What competitions and other awards have you won? Include your non sports accomplishments also. I currently hold a high red belt in Taekwondo. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher, CPR/AED certified and on high honor roll.
Favorite conditions? Hot and glassy.
What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone? Wakeboarding: Green Day. Wakesurfing: more Green Day.
If extreme/action sports didn’t exist, what would you be doing with all the free time you’d have? Yoga. Lots and lots of yoga.
What’s the trick to riding features and not killing yourself? I still have to figure that one out.
What would you say is your signature trick? I'm pretty good at wiping out.
Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding/shooting? Just some water is good for me!
