What’s an average day for you like? Wake up, workout, work, prep for the weekend at the lake. Days at the lake are Waking up at 6am, eating breakfast, packing a cooler and heading out on the boat until we cant surf or board anymore! Winter is a heavier work load but I get to snowboard on the weekdays.

What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? The easiest? I think the most difficult part of wake surfing is learning the weight distribution to put on your board for the getting up process and getting over the wake. The easiest part of surfing is falling in love with it! Once you get up, you'll never want to stop!

What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport? Best thing about being a female in my sport is that most people do not expect me to be good at it because I am a female and I get to impress them. The worst thing about being a female in my sport, just like any other sport, is that it is not as promoted as the men are and I would love to change that!

What would you like to see change in your sport to make it better for you and other female athletes? I would like to see more girls getting out and shredding! I feel females have a huge amount of finesse in their surf game and it can really move he industry! We look better doing it! :P

What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out? Hyperlite, Billabong, Reefs, SHESHREDS.CO

Let’s hear your thoughts on how important looking good is to feeling good. “Being” your personal best? Well, looks are not everything but when you fit a look that your are trying to go for, everything else just seems to come with it. I feel better when I have all the gear and equipment I need especially when its fresh and new! I also love wearing things that display my personality.

How dangerous do you really think it is compared to what people do in their regular activities? The risk of injury for wake surfing is really not high at all. Wake boarding is dangerous because of the high speeds and risk of concussion but there are far more contact sports that cause more injury.

I bet in your experience you have seen some crazy crashes. Describe one. I've seen someone go for the double barrel roll and land on their neck! Not fun!!!

What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport? The addiction of progression! Surfing is a huge "feel" sport. Meaning, you can only be told what to do so many times. To really understand it, you must feel it for yourself and recognize your correction.
