What’s an average day for you like?

  1. Check the weather conditions (if powder day skip to step 4)
  2. School (that’s where I observe high school students in their natural habitat),
  3. Plan for the weekend (call up my hommies)
  4. Grab a board (Wakesurf or snowboard)
  5. Meet ya there



What is the most difficult part of your activity/sports for a beginner? The easiest?  Learning I can’t breathe under water, and that snow is not always fluffy and soft. Falling in love with it

What is the best and worst thing about being female in your sport?  Dudes think it’s totally HOT, but sometimes the guys see it as a threat.

What would you like to see change in your sport to make it better for you and other female athletes?  Shatter the idea that girls can’t shred

Besides your ability and style factor as an athlete, how would you describe your personal style?  Eclectic 

What are your favorite brands/designers for your sports apparel and for stepping out?  SheShreds, PureVida, Thuggies, West Woods, Vooray, I love supporting the little guys and seeing them grow as a brand and anything you can find in your local thrift store; I love the “treasure hunt” aspect of it

What usually gets people hooked on your activity/sport?  Adrenaline 

What is your favorite trick?  Not getting hurt

Do you own any other toys?  Indo Board, Tramp Board (an old snowboarder we’ve modified so we can master our tricks)

 What gets you pumped up for the day?  The smell of sunscreen and lifejackets or snowboard wax 

What are three things you could not live without? Surfboard  Snowboard  Air

What are your expectations for this activity/sport?  Grow!

Who have been your biggest supporters in getting you to where you are now?  My parents and grandparents, but without Gina and Tony Duffy I would not be anywhere near where I am today 

Who’s your favorite rider/shooter (photo/video)?  Bob Soven (not only is he an amazing rider, he’s always in the heart of the fans) and Keenan Flegal (he’s a hottie), Hunter Sims (another hottie), Drew Danielo (he’s a killer surfer, and a family guy) but my two favorites are my dad and sister Maggie 

What do you do in your spare time when you’re not riding/shooting/competing?  Trap Shoots, Indo Board, hit up the antique stores 

How about in the off season to stay in shape?  Hop on another board of course! For the muddy seasons I’ll pop in a movie (highly suggest Endless Summer or the Art of Flight), and grab my Indo Board 

What is your biggest goal to accomplish this/next season?  Have fun! (and master my 360) 

What’s your favorite “way” to ride( wake sport- specific, cable, boat, winch)(Snowsport specific- park, freeride/backcountry, urban)?  Shredin’ behind my MB B-52, carving through the trees

Favorite conditions?  Knee-deep powder, miles of glass with not a single tuber in sight

Where would be your biggest dream place to ride and why? Lake Powell; Water temp: 80° air temp: 95° wind: 0mph and beautiful red rock cliffs 

What song(s) do you listen to while riding that puts you in the zone?  Anything by the Doors or Grateful Dead

What other extreme/action sports are you into?  Flowboarding

If extreme/action sports didn’t exist, what would you be doing with all the free time you’d have?  Antiquing, eating my weight in cheese cake

What’s your favorite board/bike/sled to ride and why?  Phase Five Drew Danielo Pro Model, its zippy and responsive,  Burton Ration 139, its reliable

What’s the trick to riding features and not killing yourself?  Confidence in your abilities, yet being humble enough to take instruction

Favorite drink of choice to refresh yourself after a long day of riding/shooting?  Good ole’ H20
